In 2017, we had a request for two custom Tweed-covered BoomBocs Mk.1 models to join Tom Petty on his 40th Anniversary world tour.
We delivered the custom-wrapped units in traditional tweed to Tom and his team at their headline Hyde Park show that summer.
The Tweed is much like the material found on older Fender guitar amps. The aim was for the BoomBocs' to blend in with the amps The Heartbreakers used on stage.
The same year we built this one-of-a-kind Oak BoomBocs Mk.1 for Rita Ora.
Rita's BoomBocs has its own sonic characteristics due to the acoustic properties of Oak. We've been told it is popular with guests and provides the sound reinforcement for social gatherings at her home in London.
Everybody loves a bit of nostalgia, and today, anything retro is cool! BoomBocs aims to bring back the original look of the 80s boombox but fully-loaded with modern technology. Now, you’ll be able to connect via WiFi or Bluetooth wirelessly, controlling your favourite streaming services via a dedicated app from your smart device. With direct connection to Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music via the app, OR by using the onboard interface (screen, buttons and rotary encoders), BoomBocs makes it incredibly easy to get up and running in rapid time.
